The Omnibus is
located in the heart of historic Venice, with a view of the Rialto
Bridge and just five minutes from St. Mark's Square.
Built into an antique palace of the 13th century, it was first the
residence of the Doge Enrico Dandolo, from 1527 it was the dwelling
of the great poet Pietro Aretino and from 1890 a public locale licensed
as a "Bottega del Caffè (Coffee Shop)", one of
the first in Venice.

Today this restaurant
has three intimate dining rooms and a terrace on the Grand Canal.
For three generations, the Ancilotto family has managed the restaurant
with the style of the gracious Venetian hosts who are ever so familiar
with the concept of having guests at the table.
Omnibus proposes business dinners, graduation parties, banquets, and
services for organized groups, but it is also a perfect place for
a romantic tête-à-tête. |
